Focus on Areas of Greatest Need and Facing Significant Disparities

This expectation instructs TPP23 Tier 1 projects to:

• Focus the project on a community(ies) and population(s) disproportionately affected by unintended teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
• Define the community(ies) and population(s) of focus, ensuring that primary participants are youth ages 10–24.
• Continuously collect data to understand the needs, resources, root causes of disparities within the community(ies).
• Engage key stakeholders, community members, and partners in data collection, interpretation of findings, and refining priorities.
