Focus on Areas of Greatest Need
This expectation instructs TPP23 Tier 1 projects to:
- Focus the project on a community(ies) and population(s) disproportionately affected by unintended teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
- Define the community(ies) and population(s) of focus, ensuring that primary participants are youth ages 10–24.
- Continuously assess (at least on an annual basis) the needs and resources of the community and population of focus through the collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data.
- Engage key stakeholders, community members, and partners in data collection, interpretation of findings, and refining priorities.
