High Impact Practices to Strengthen Hypertension Services and Improve Maternal Health Outcomes Webinar
This webinar presents new evidence-based practices (called High Impact Practice Sets or HIPS) for addressing hypertension—a leading cause of maternal mortality and contributor to racial disparities in maternal health outcomes—in a sexual and reproductive health outpatient setting. This webinar is the first in a series of five on the new HIPS, which were adapted from Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (AIM) Patient Safety Bundles by the RHNTC in collaboration with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). Speakers describe the impact of hypertension on maternal health, including on racial disparities in maternal morbidity and mortality; the role of hypertension prevention, recognition, and control in the reproductive health setting; the HIPS for strengthening hypertension prevention, recognition, and control; and highlight new RHNTC resources designed to help strengthen hypertension services.
