As a clinic prepares to notify clients about its closure, it’s important to consider how to reach them in a way that is timely, clear, and respectful of their needs. No single communication channel will reach everyone—using multiple approaches increases the likelihood that all clients are informed and supported. Consider an approach with a primary method, reinforcing method(s), and method(s) for supportive follow-up. This job aid outlines potential notification methods along with considerations to guide decision making.

This tool is part of the Closeout Toolkit for Title X Clinics, which supports Title X grantees, subrecipients, and service sites navigate closing out in a way that is timely, compassionate, and mindful of compliance concerns.
