This May 2024 webinar for sexual and reproductive health providers and staff provides an overview of endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs), common sources and routes of exposure to EDCs, and how exposure to EDCs may influence reproductive health.

Speaker:

  • Tamarra James-Todd, PhD, MPH, Mark and Catherine Winkler Associate Professor of Environmental Reproductive Epidemiology, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health

Learning Objectives:

  1. Define EDCs, their sources, and exposure routes
  2. Describe examples of how EDCs can negatively affect reproductive health
  3. Explain how unequal environmental exposure to EDCs contributes to racial disparities in negative maternal health outcomes
  4. Describe at least two strategies for reducing exposure to EDCs, which sexual and reproductive health providers can discuss with clients
