Confidentiality is becoming an increasingly complex issue for Title X agency staff. Plain-language scripts help providers communicate with clients about their rights to confidentiality. Using supportive language to talk about the right to privacy fosters a safe and secure environment for clients to express their sexual and reproductive health experiences, needs, and concerns. This pocket card offers reproductive health agency staff examples of supportive language they can use to explain confidentiality to clients and their family members, guardians, and loved ones.
