Community mobilization is essentially a process for reaching out to different sectors of a community and creating partnerships in order to focus on, and ultimately address, a pressing issue such as teen pregnancy. Drawing from the research, this document summarizes 14 key strategies for teen pregnancy prevention that are based on best practices in community mobilization, collaborative partnerships, and coalition-building.
