Sexually Transmitted Infections Services eLearning

This eLearning module describes the sexually transmitted infection services that family planning clients may need, in accordance with Providing Quality Family Planning Services: Recommendations of CDC and the U.S. Office of Population Affairs (QFP). This module provides practical, evidence-informed information and strategies, as well as activities, videos, and scenarios.

Note: As of September 2020, this module replaced the STD Services in the Family Planning Setting Webinar.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify the scope of services related to STI screening and treatment defined by QFP
- Conduct a sexual health assessment
- Consistently use opt-out language for recommended STI screening
- Apply techniques for delivering behavioral counseling to diverse populations
The course includes three sections:
- Section 1: STI services
- Section 2: Sexual health assessment
- Section 3: Screen and treat STIs
Time: 1.0 hour
Continuing Education: 1.0 contact hour
There is no fee for a continuing nursing education (CNE) certificate upon successful completion of this activity.
