Experience has shown that all services and all clients—females as well as males—benefit from conducting an assessment of male-friendliness, followed by development of a concrete action plan for change, involving all staff. This toolkit addresses: 1) essential elements for male-friendly services; 2) creating an assessment team; 3) collecting and analyzing data; 4) tools to assess environment, staff training needs and community partnerships; and 5) implementation recommendations and strategies for managing change.
