These job aids were developed to help health care staff explain key facts about contraceptive methods in plain language. They were not designed to be patient education materials, but instead to be used in client-centered conversations, to support clients in choosing the methods best for them. The job aids do not include medical contraindications for each contraceptive method. Providers may refer to the U.S. Medical Eligibility Criteria for Contraceptive Use and the U.S. Selected Practice Recommendations for Contraceptive Use for information on medical contraindications.
