In 2015, the Baltimore City Health Department (BCHD) received a TPP Program Tier 1B grant to replicate an evidence-based program to scale in a high-need community. BCHD and its partners implemented U Choose, an initiative to reduce teen pregnancy and improve adolescent sexual health across all of Baltimore, Maryland. This case study describes how a community-wide approach can amplify the contributions of individual partners when the backbone organization has a clearly articulated vision, mobilizes stakeholders to come together, and maintains momentum over years of shared work.
