This workshop described recent challenges, including the ongoing pandemic, to resiliency among Title X staff. After a brief presentation on the indicators and consequences of staff burnout, participants engaged in a facilitated discussion of the challenges and opportunities to address burnout through team-based approaches that move beyond individual self-care. In response to grantee feedback, this workshop focused on opportunities for social-emotional support as an approach to addressing burnout (with the awareness that there are a multitude of other possible approaches). The workshop was facilitated by Emma Ansara, RN, MS, MA, FNP-C, and Amanda Ryder, MPH, from the RHNTC. The presenters brought distinct and complementary perspectives in clinical practice and organizational- and systems-level strategies to support behavior change that addresses burnout.
