The Results First™ Clearinghouse Database is an online resource that brings together information on the effectiveness of social policy programs from nine national clearinghouses. It applies color-coding to the clearinghouses’ distinct rating systems, creating a common language that enables users to quickly see where each program falls on a spectrum from negative impact to positive impact. This database can help people easily access and understand the evidence base for a variety of programs.

This resource may be helpful to Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) projects looking to identify additional evidence-based programs and practices to implement that are not part of the TPP Evidence Review. TPP projects are encouraged to focus Clearinghouse searches on programs and practices with a green or yellow rating, as these are more likely to align with the Office of Population Affairs (OPA) requirement that evidence of program effectiveness be demonstrated.

Note: OPA must approve selected evidence-based programs before grantees can pilot and implement them.
