The tip sheet was developed to help TPP grantees transition data collection from in-person to an online method during the early stage of the COVID-19 pandemic. The tip sheet covers considerations and best practices for designing online surveys and collecting survey data, including assessing feasibility; designing, testing, and administering a survey; obtaining appropriate approvals; and selecting a platform. The goal is to provide organizations with strategies and information to ensure online data collection is successful and addresses the information needs of the organization while protecting the privacy of participants.
