Young people ages 13-24 in the U.S. have never known a world without HIV; one in five HIV infections occur in individuals between these ages. What Works in Youth HIV, the Adolescent HIV/AIDS Prevention National Resource Center, provides practical information and youth-friendly resources for people working with adolescents to prevent HIV nationwide.

In observance of National HIV Testing Day, in June 2018, the FPNTC partnered with What Works in Youth HIV to discuss current statistics on youth and HIV, where family planning providers fit within the HIV care continuum, treatment as HIV prevention, and ways family planning providers can foster partnerships and serve as a bridge between HIV testing and treatment.
