This session from August 2018 discussed successful strategies and resources to support same-visit provision of the full range of contraceptive methods (including IUDs and implants) when providers can be reasonably certain a client is not pregnant and when not otherwise medically contraindicated. The Southern Nevada Health District, a Title X grantee, described their own experience and successes offering the full range of methods during the same visit a client requests them. The session also introduced Same-Visit Contraception: An Implementation Guide for Family Planning Providers and highlighted tools and strategies to help sites begin or streamline implementation.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the rationale for providing the full range of contraceptive methods during the same visit when initially requested by the client.
  • Identify at least 3 examples of successful strategies used by Title X providers to increase client access to all methods same-visit.
  • Identify resources that can be used to support implementation of same-visit contraception, including Same Visit Contraception: An Implementation Guide for Family Planning Providers.

Certificate of Completion: No - webinar was not recorded
