This brief provides a nontechnical summary of three key findings from a meta-regression analysis that relied on data from the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Evidence Review (TPPER) to examine which components of evidence-based teen pregnancy prevention (TPP) programs were predictive of program effectiveness. The brief highlights that substance use content is associated with larger effects in TPP programs, academic success content is associated with smaller effects, and that programs with more variety in content have smaller effects. A technical appendix provides details on data, analysis, and findings.
