This training builds skills and shares tools to enhance screening in order to identify “red flags” for IPV and HIV. It also offers risk reduction tools to use when HIV or IPV risk factors are present.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explain the intersection of IPV incidence and HIV risk
  • Describe the incidence of IPV in communities of color and with HIV positive women
  • Describe screening for clients who are at risk for IPV and HIV
  • Describe counseling interventions for clients who are at risk for IPV and HIV

Time: 1 hour, 30 minutes

Continuing Education: 1.5 contact hours

There is no fee for a Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) certificate upon successful completion of this activity.
