This meeting package will guide your team to: understand the impact of unfair or unequal treatment of clients because of their body size or weight; carry out a site self-assessment; and take action steps toward size inclusivity in your organization. This meeting package includes resources to facilitate a 45-minute meeting.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this meeting, participants will be able to: 

  • Define weight stigma and bias 
  • Explain the impact of weight stigma and bias on health behaviors and health care utilization
  • Identify at least three strategies to reduce weight stigma and bias in the sexual and reproductive health care setting
  • Identify three agency-specific actions toward size inclusivity
