This webinar from April 2013 describes the steps that a clinic needs to take to adopt an electronic health record (EHR). Participants learn how to prepare for the EHR adoption process by conducting an organizational readiness assessment. The presenters also focus on how to identify a family planning agency's needs and requirements for the EHR and how to use those requirements to select an EHR. Finally, participants hear about different ways to approach implementation and what to anticipate in the clinic during the process of transitioning from paper to EHRs. The webinar features a first-hand account of EHR adoption in a Title X setting and provides resources and tools for supporting the implementation process.
